Thanksgiving in Our Home

A very happy Thanksgiving to all!

We are very blessed to have Gabi and Trina, along with my dear friend, Christine with us today. It has been a wonderful day with great company, and good food! I'm very proud of our Thanksgiving feast - it is totally gluten-free, and nearly all local ingredients! I intend to share the recipes I used, and all of the fun that went into creating such a lovely meal. For right now, I just want to share some photos from our day for all of the family that is far away, but with us in spirit!

Paleo Apple Tart
Our fine turkey from Autumn's Harvest Farm. 14.67 pounds of delicious, pastured turkey! It is covered in salt, rosemary, and butter!
Tony in Trina's glasses. It made Zach think of Carl from Up.

Marshmallow and sour cream fruit salad - a tradition in Christine's family.
A corner of the homemade marshmallows - they were sooo good!

Zach made cocktails before dinner - dreamsicles! Vodka, triple sec, orange juice, and vanilla icecream!
Trina working on mashed potatoes.

A place setting. The green pieces are from our wedding - they were on the tables under the centerpieces.

Tony with his godmother.

This was the best turkey I have ever had - 5 hours in the oven in a brown bag.

Sausage and bread stuffing. I used my Mother-in-law's recipe, with a gluten-free bread. It came out so well!

Almond flour herb bread, which was very similar to gluten-bread. Extra good with a huge pile of butter.
I love the lighting in this picture.
More turkey. I'm so proud of the turkey.
Our family.
Zach carving the turkey like a pro.

Tony loves nuts. We forgot the bowl was on the coffee table...nuts everywhere.
