We spent most of Friday exploring Ithaca - it was such fun! I got to visit some shops on The Commons that I've never been before. The girls had their first waffle icecream sandwich from Waffle Frolic, which was a huge hit. Who can turn down locally made icecream, piled on a gluten-free waffle, topped with homemade whipped cream, chocolate and caramel sauce?!

What do you do with leftover cranberry sauce and triple sec? Buy some icecream and blend it together for a cranberry-orange smoothie. I have to credit Trina with that brilliant idea.

While we were in Ithaca I found mini tumblers at the natural baby store. They were so inexpensive, I decided to get him two. It was so cute to watch him drink on his own. I don't usually let him hold a regular cup, so there was definitely some trial and error going on.
He was enamored by the newly found power of the lidless cup. It was so adorable.

Once again my Mom has spoiled me. I have been dying to paint my kitchen cabinets, but terrified by the thought of not doing it right, and not having money for all of the supplies. Gabi arrived on Thanksgiving Day with paint brushes, drop cloths, rollers, tape...everything. With the note explaining it all was a Lowes gift card for paint. *insert tears here* When there was finally a quiet moment to tell Zach, I started crying. I have so much to be thankful for, and I didn't expect that.
We started painting on Saturday. We didn't get terribly far, but I think that Zach is going to help me finish them before he starts next trimester. The upper boxes are almost done, and some of the upper doors. The color is Maple Cream, and it's a very lovely yellow! I can't wait to finish it, and see them in all of their glory!

LOVE the pics of Tony with his new glass! He is too funny. And the color on the cabinets looks so pretty. It will be nice when it is all finished and it makes you happy every time you look at it. :) Glad y'all had fun in Ithaca...I am asking myself why I didn't order the icecream sandwich?!
