{pretty, happy, funny, real} - Master Bedroom Challenge Edition

{pretty}

I added the fabric across the headboard today. I really like it. I would love to have a canopy bed, but our room isn't really the right size for that.
  The challenge over on LMLD gave me the motivation I needed to get our bedroom in order. Zach and I are both rather messy people by nature, so it is a daily struggle for me to not let things fall to ruin. I feel fairly successful at keeping a reasonably clean main floor. But the upstairs is still a work-in-progress. It took me all week, but I managed to get all of the laundry put away, and summer clothes sorted out while Tony played with Jayden. It feels so good to have a tidy, happy room. I am determined to keep it this way!

My nightstand.
 For the past few months I have had a small futon mattress on the floor on my side. That was to keep Tony from getting hurt if he rolled off. He still sleeps with us, but I decided it was time to do away with the mattress. It was too big to go under the bed during the day, so it collected dirt from being walked on. I might bring the crib mattress in, since that will slide easily under the bed.
My side of the bed. I just liked the sun coming through the blinds.
You can see the dresser top! There was everything up there from Zach's Mass clothes to a hole punch. I still need to decide how  to make this dresser more attractive...
{funny}
 Tony has figured out how to climb onto the table by himself. It's cute, but bad because he uses the arm rest as a step, and it really wasn't made for that kind of weight.
He knows what to do when he gets on it, though!

{real}
This closet is probably 8 feet deep. There are 2 hanging bars, and a lot of room in the back for out of season clothes storage. I still need to get that nasty carpet down to the garbage, and vacuum, but the clothes are hung and even sorted by item!

  5. I think you have made a great job of your room. We struggle to keep ours tidy too - it has taken me all week to get it to PHFR standard!

    I got a laugh out of seeing your son on the chiropractic table. We take our kids - usually we go as a family - our daughter (2.5) now wants to be the first on the table. When she was younger she would lie on my tummy, while I lay on the table. But as the Chiropractor says Monkey See, Monkey Do!

    Our baby boy first went when he was 7 days old - now at 6 months, the chiropractor still has to show him off to the other patients in the waiting room as his star patient:)

    I found your blog via PHFR and have really enjoyed reading through your archives.
