The Paper Sailboat Baby Blanket

Some of Zach's friends from undergrad are (over)due with a little boy. I wanted to send something for him, and found out that they have decorated his room in a nautical theme. This adorable piece of cotton has been sitting in my stash for over a year, just wanting to be made into something for a little boy.

Soft flannel corners, with a little bit of embroidering.
I had to get a yard of white flannel for the other side, but the border came from scraps left over from making Tony's receiving blankets. It isn't anything incredible, but it's soft, and that's what counts.

I was very pleased with how it turned out. I may have to buy some flannel next time it's half-off so I have it on hand for things like this. If one can find time to sit down and sew, it goes so quickly!

Love,
Jess
