Southern Sunshine

Zach and I haven't been on a real vacation together since our honeymoon. So last fall we started talking about what we could do over his spring break. We wanted somewhere driveable, and warm. South Carolina fit the bill, so there we went.
It ended up working out for his parents to meet us at the resort they've stayed at since Zach was little. It was lots of fun for everyone, and enabled us to see them (we haven't seen his Dad since last April!), and them see us, without anyone having to fly.
Tony wasn't a fan of the pool, but he loved digging in the sand. It was hilarious when he was done, though - sometimes he would tell you that he was done and start packing up his wagon full of beach toys. Other times, he would just head to the boardwalk and be on his way.

We spent part of a day in Charleston, visiting the South Carolina Aquarium, and having lunch at a Thai restaurant. It was so cute to watch Tony run around the aquarium. We even got to see a freighter coming in, and get pushed around by a tugboat.

After we checked out of our condo, my Mother-in-law, (Dee, as Tony says) took a bunch of photos at the hotel on the resort property. It is a very stunning hotel - somewhat Mediterranean on the outside, and completely Southern Plantation on the inside. The grounds are beautiful, too, and were the perfect backdrop.

Tony with Dee and Grandpop

This was Tony's little photo bomb. He had been walking with Grandpop, and decided he had enough. It turned out so cute.

Here we are at almost 24 weeks. I feel rather large when I look from the side, but I know it's mostly in my head. The baby doesn't like being smooshed by Tony when he's leaning against my belly, which feels really strange.

I have a lot more pictures, but I shall spare everyone. I do have some cute ones on my phone, I just need to get to a better wi-fi area so I can upload them. (I turned 24 on Monday, and my parents gave me a smartphone! I can now snapchat my husband when he's at school, haha! I have kind of missed my old Palm Pixi since it died, and we went with a basic phone so as not to tax my Dad's generosity too much. It was quite a surprise, and definitely a welcome one. The camera is waaaaay better than my old phone, and I love the messaging interface.)

Once I get things together again, I'll hopefully find some birthday pictures, and can share some of those festivities... :)

Love,
Jess
