I found this runner at the Salvation Army. It wasn't priced, so I took it to the counter hoping they wouldn't realize how valuable it is. After consulting the manager, it was sold to me for $9.99! It's very clean, and definitely high quality from what I can tell. I'm not quite sure where it's going yet, but I couldn't leave it behind. Wool rugs are so expensive, but so wonderful to have.

I finally got myself together and moved Tony to his crib. It had to be done before the new baby comes, but I was dreading it. He's never slept away from me, and I anticipated the absolute worst reaction. I knew it would take some toughness on my part to listen to him crying and calling for me without giving in, and I didn't know if I could do it. It started with nap time last Tuesday, and we never turned back. He cried some, and I cried some, but after a couple of days, he started asking me to go to bed. Some nights he even waves at me and says, "Bye-bye."

This is a repeat from my Easter post, but it's too {funny} not to share again. Chocolate truffles and small children are not a good combination!

I love flowers. The poor tulips have lost their petals now, but they were lovely for the weekend! The lilies are still beautiful, and the last one is finally opening up! I feel like my daffodil and hyacinth plants are dying, and I can't figure out why. I've actually remembered to water them, and the rooms have indirect sunlight. I'm hoping they're not too far gone to be moved outside.

Wow, beautiful runner...what a find!
ReplyDeleteGreat find on the runner and for less than $10 too, what a steal!
ReplyDeleteTony is adorable, chocolate truffle and all!
I well remember when Noah was moved to his crib and how hard it was on me and him, I'm glad it went smoothly for you both.
Love the rug!!
ReplyDeleteOn my very little tiny adventure down to the barn to see the kittens, I noticed that one patch of our purple iris's are about to open up. They have buds!!! The girls and I were so excited to see them.
Happy Easter Season to you, Jess.
