Zach surprised me with roses on St. Valentine's Day! I love red roses.
These are the very first roses I ever received from Zach. They were a surprise delivery on St. Valentine's Day in 2010. It was a beautiful arrangement, with a sweet note saying he hoped to get to know me better. Obviously that worked. :)

Some days I feel like my belly is fairly noticeable. Other days, as you can see in this picture, not as much. It's definitely noticeable to me, and I've had maternity jeans out since week 8. I had my second appointment yesterday, and we heard Baby's heartbeat! Listening to that precious quick beating fills me with so much joy. I'm measuring properly at this point, and was relieved that all of my bloodwork came back great! I love the midwife we found, and have said many prayers of thanksgiving for the very long road we took to finding her.

| I think this was the last time I had to climb over the dryer. I felt so funny, it merited a cheesy cellphone picture to my dear husband. |
We finally made the decision to replace our dryer. It was taking an average of three cycles to completely dry clothes. Light cotton things would dry faster, but jeans, towels...no way. Needless to say that slowed down my laundry during the day. I think this dryer was 19% off, and I had a 10% off your total order coupon. It's your very basic Whirlpool dryer, but I don't need anything fancy. I just want dry clothes.
It wasn't until after I had pushed the washer all the way back in that I decided to see if switching the water lines would give me cold water on my cold/cold cycle...it worked! I don't know why it was hooked up incorrectly, but I am glad to be able to wash in cold water!
While changing the side the door opened on, Tony decided to check out the inside of the dryer. When I counted, "1-2-3-Cheese!" he would clap. So that no one worries, the dryer door is almost impossible for me to open and close, so there is no way Tony can get in or out without me.

My little sister Katrina got engaged on St. Valentine's Day! Her fiance drove from Alabama to surprise her in the adoration chapel. She was definitely surprised...only expecting a "Skype date" later that evening. Please keep them in your prayers as they go through marriage preparation. We're planning an August 31st wedding, which is going to be crazy with my Mom coming to help me when the Baby is born, and then us getting back to Virginia for the wedding. But it will all work out! We found bridesmaids dresses on zulily which greatly lightened our workload for the wedding!

The roses are lovely! Good job, Zach! I love the happy pic. It definitely makes this Grammy happy to see that sweet belly. :D
ReplyDeleteThat cellphone pic cracks me up! You are crazy, lol.
Wish I was there to hug that cute little man. Thanks for the reassurance about the door. Grandpa was worried when he saw the pic.
Keep the posts coming! We love reading and seeing...
I put Vinnie in our new dryer first thing, too! No picture, though, the camera was upstairs.
ReplyDeleteRed roses are my favourite, too. Sometimes I buy them for myself when I find them on clearance for $2/dozen at Kroger.
That's a really nice picture of Katrina and Michael.
