The view from the back corner. It's massive.

12 lines! With a reasonable space between each line to assist in complete airflow.

Ignore the junk. We don't know where you get rid of broken stuff (the trash guys seem kind of picky).

View from the back door. Please don't judge me on the stains on my diapers.

Not clothesline. We pulled out everything that was along the back fence on Saturday. Garden coming Spring 2013.
I think that Zach did a great job on the construction of it. It's very solid, with the posts set in concrete. It should stand proud for many years to come. We finished it just in time, too- our dryer isn't drying heavy things like towels or jeans. I found that out on Thursday, and we finished the clothesline on Sunday. My laundry is still a little backed up due to the rain today, but I'm praying for sunshine and breeze tomorrow! We're trying to get away from using the dryer at all - it does so much damage to your clothes, and you pay for it, haha. We'll see how the winter goes.
Love,
Jess
The clothesline is indeed magnificent. Dad was impressed and says to tell Zach "good job". I will pray for sunny days....
ReplyDeleteYay! I remember using a clothes line when we first moved to FR, back when we had the blue house (don't think I knew you yet back then). The only issue I remember was that it seemed to make the things like towels really stiff. Is there a way around that?
ReplyDeleteI wish I was able to use a clothes line at out place, but I doubt it.
Zach just read something that said adding distilled white vinegar during the final rinse would help keep your line-dryed clothes soft. I have yet to try that because I haven't been downstairs to keep track of the cycle, but as soon as I'm caught up...
ReplyDeleteI'd wondered if that might help.
