Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

My brother Teddy with Tony at the tree farm.
I hope that everyone has enjoyed the holidays as much as we have!

We spent Christmas and New Year's with my family, and it was wonderful - we went with them to the tree farm, no one got sick, and one of Zach's friends joined us for Christmas and came back to the Church in time for the Midnight Mass! We attended Midnight Mass with our beloved Canons and it was beautiful! I managed to sew a vest and bow tie for Tony, dress and headband for Evie, skirt for myself, and bow tie for Zach so we all matched in some way or another. Of course, true to my disorganized self, I still don't have any pictures of us in our Christmas finery, save this semi-blurry photo from Instagram:
One of our dear friends was married the Monday after Christmas, which was beautiful and fun. Zach and I were able to dance at the reception, thanks to my Mom and siblings for keeping up with my munchkins. I love weddings. Even more now that I'm married. It's kind of like that strangely awesome solidarity you feel with pregnant women once you've had a baby yourself. We're all in this together. Catholic weddings give you that same feeling, particularly if the homilist is good (in this case, the homily was excellent).
This child has the best disposition. Her chubby little cheeks with those dimples make me want to eat her up. She is just over 14 pounds, and still quite long, recently outgrowing 6 month sleepers. She is getting more interactive, and really notices Tony, which is the sweetest thing ever.
Since being home Zach has put in a new fan in the family room:
He and Ryan unclogged the upstairs toilet (Tony flushed a marker down a month ago, but there hasn't been time to take the toilet off and try to get it out). No, I don't have a picture of that.

Yesterday they put the sheet rock up in the living room. It isn't quite done, but it looks so much better.

They also started working on a new project outside that I'm excited to write about, but I'll have to save it for another day. I've tried to hit publish on this too many times to save it again.

A blessed Epiphany to all!
Love,
Jess
